David Matthews Carpentry and Joinery Services are based in Basingstoke and has been established for 30 years. We work in the surrounding areas including Odiham, Hook, Old Basing and Hartley Wintney. We provide a range of quality carpentry and joinery services to an excellent standard with a high level of customer service. We will design, build and oversee the entire project.

David offers the kind of quality that every home-owner hopes for in a craftsman but all too seldom finds. He is friendly and meticulous. David replaced all the doors in our home. The quality of his work is evident more than two years later, when every door in our house fits its frame (despite our crooked walls) and closes just so. David put subtle rubber absorbers in place to stop opening doors getting damaged against walls or cupboards. More recently he has replaced the front door lock which had become damaged (the damage was entirely our fault). He took extreme care in ensuring we had the right escutcheon to fit and protect the new lock, which was made more challenging by the fact that what we needed was no longer available via the supplier’s web site. David has also done other smaller jobs for us, always with his unfailing cheerfulness and efficiency. We unreservedly recommend him.
